George Holmes

Prolific and ubiquitous actor and extra George Holmes was born on November 25, 1918 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania. Holmes first started appearing in films in often uncredited minor roles in 1937. A handsome man with wavy hair and a strong muscular build, George could be spotted in a slew of movies and TV shows in which he was frequently cast as waiters, reporters, party guests, audience members, or patrons in clubs, casinos, or restaurants. Holmes died at age 66 on February 19, 1985 in Los Angeles, California.
